Picot Cast Off
Afterthought Heel
At heel position, knit waste yarn in half of stitches + 2 st each side. For example, on 64 stitch sock, knit in waste yarn on 32 + 4 = 36 stitches. Then knit with the sock yarn right over the waste yarn row.
Put on needles. Pick up 1 or 2 st in corners and knit 2 plain rows. Then on end of needle: k2tog, k1. Then k1, SSK on next needle. Do same for other corner. Continue to do 1 row plain, then 1 row dec until it fits okay. Then dec every row until 12 -14 st remain on each side. Kitchener closed.
